Translation:
The Origin of the Sorcerer
I know well the sorcerer´s birth,
the fortune-teller´s origin:
The sorcerer was born,
the fortune-tellers took their rise
behind the limit oft he north,
in the Lapp´s flat open land;
there the sorcerer was born,
the fortuneteller there was bred
on a bed of fir-boughs,

too, the wind of the Lapp,
the north-west wind, south wind and south-west wind,
the sunrise and the sunset wind
and all the intermediate winds!
